Letitia James Faces Federal Financial Fraud Indictment
A federal grand jury has indicted the New York attorney general for financial misconduct on Thursday, as stated by someone with knowledge of the case.
Lindsey Halligan personally presented this case before the judicial panel this Thursday, as reported.
US attorneys do not typically address a grand jury.
Halligan was installed in the role the previous month following Donald Trump became frustrated regarding the progress of inquiries involving adversaries.
The move represents the newest attempt to leverage the DOJ to punish adversaries.
It follows two weeks following Halligan secured charges involving Comey.
Long-serving lawyers drafted a memorandum for that matter detailing the reasons charges were not warranted.
Comey denied the charges recently.
