Soccer Player Welsh Athlete Ramsey Boosts Bounty for Missing Dog in Mexican Territory to £15k
Welsh football star Ramsey has increased the bounty for details about his lost pet named Halo to $20,000.
Ex- Arsenal and Cardiff City player, who now plays for the Mexican club Pumas in Mexico City, revealed that Halo was last seen in San Miguel de Allende, located in the Guanajuato area.
Halo, who vanished on October 9th, was equipped with a tracking device, and Ramsey shared a Google maps location of the spot she vanished from.
"Any sort of updates concerning our pet Halo please get in touch with us. Big bounty for locating her. We are all praying she is safe and can be back to our family soon," Ramsey wrote on social media.
Initial Reward and Emotional Pleas
Ramsey first disclosed that Halo had gone missing a fortnight back and has since shared multiple pictures of the adored dog on Instagram.
A $$10k reward was initially announced, but with absence of information on the dog's whereabouts after a seven days, the player and his loved ones increased the reward.
"All we desire is our pet back," he stated in a further request on social media after the 10-year-old dog disappeared.
The most recent image share is a black and white photo of Halo snoozing, her head resting in the bend of the athlete's arm, with the caption: "How I wish to hold you one last time Halo."
Family's Concerns and Context
The footballer has also shared a message from his wife Colleen on online channels indicating they have some "pressing queries" regarding the event and fear the household "could possibly not receive explanations".
"We have yet to have not located our dog. It is unlikely we ever will," his wife's message read.
The Wales skipper signed with Mexican first division team Club Universidad Nacional recently and had his debut in Liga MX in August.
